Prices include tax and digitizing, with a standard backing. The digital proof is always free; the physical sample fee is waived on orders over 500 pcs (otherwise it is credited to your order). Figures are a guide for standard stitch count and garment type.

How It Works

1 · Day 1 - Send your artwork (any format) with quantity, size, backing and edge.

2 · Day 1–2 - We digitize in-house and send a free digital proof for your approval.

3 · Day 3–5 - On approval we make a physical sample, ship it by DHL/UPS, and mail the yarn color card so you confirm exact colors.

4 - You approve the physical sample. We do not start bulk until you approve.

5 · Day 10–15 - Bulk production against the approved sample, then DHL/UPS express, or air/sea (FCL/LCL) for large volumes.

A 10-day rush reorder for a Los Angeles brand

A Los Angeles apparel brand had a denim line selling faster than expected and needed a reorder of 5,000 embroidered patches air-freighted within 10 days. The design was demanding - a high stitch count with layered appliqué, the kind of build that usually carries a high reject rate. We re-engineered it on the floor: run-stitch texturing to bring the stitch count down while keeping the look intact, and batch cutting on our digital cutter to protect the schedule. The order shipped on time, and the client came back praising the quality.

Hitting a strict Pantone target for a California client

A California client submitted a new embroidered design with a specific Pantone reference and exacting color standards. Thread and Pantone are different media, so a perfect one-to-one match is never possible - that variance is inherent to yarn. We resampled several times, held stitch density consistent, ran repeated color checks under controlled lighting, and locked the digitizing parameters before each round of sign-off. We landed within the closest tolerance the thread allows, and we keep every color and parameter record on file for three months. It is the kind of close-control custom work our customers return for.

 

What Decides the Quality of an Embroidered Patch

It is not the machine - almost everyone has the same machines. It is the digitizing (how your art becomes a stitch file), the underlay, and the stitch density. Push the density too high and the twill puckers; too low and the base shows through. We tune it so patches lie flat and hold up wash after wash.

Backing - how it attaches matters

Iron-on patches use a heat-activated adhesive - a good fit for cotton tees, hoodies and denim. We do not recommend iron-on for nylon, polyester shells or stretch fabric, where the glue will not hold. Sew-on is the most secure and what we recommend for uniforms and workwear. Velcro lets a patch come off and go back on - common on tactical gear.

3D puff

Custom 3D puff patches use a foam underlay so the design rises off the surface - ideal for block lettering and thick outlines on caps. We puff the bold shapes and stitch fine detail flat, so 3D puff embroidery patches stay crisp instead of looking messy.

Merrowed border vs laser-cut

Merrowed border patches have a thick, braided overlocked rim - the classic look for circles, ovals and shields. A merrow machine cannot turn a sharp inside corner, so for stars, flames or tightly die-cut logos we use laser-cut patches that follow your artwork exactly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Iron-on or sew-on for jeans?

Iron-on holds on denim, but for jeans that are washed often, sew-on (or sew-plus-iron) is the most secure.

Can you do 3D puff and flat in the same patch?

Yes - we puff the bold shapes and stitch fine detail flat, so 3D puff embroidery patches stay crisp.

Merrowed border or laser-cut for my shape?

Merrowed for round and shield shapes; laser-cut for intricate or die-cut shapes.

What is your minimum order?

From 50 pcs. We make a physical sample first, then scale to bulk.

Will my bulk order match the sample?

Yes. Bulk does not start until you approve a physical sample, and that sample is the QC standard for every batch.

Can you match Pantone / PMS colors?

We match as closely as thread allows. Colors are chosen by number from our physical yarn card; because thread and Pantone are different media, a small variance from a PMS target is normal. We resample and run repeated color checks to get as close as possible, and keep your color records on file for three months.

What are your payment terms?

Can you ship by sea or DDP?

We ship worldwide by DHL and UPS express for samples and smaller runs, and by air or sea (FCL/LCL) for bulk. [DDP available to selected destinations - confirm.]
